It took three long and extenuating days of poker, followed by a six hour final table to know who will end up claiming the bracalet in WSOP Event 28 – $1,500 No Limit Hold’em: Mike Eise is the new champion.
Mike Eise advanced through a field that contained 2,641 world class players from the seasoned pro of JC Tran, to the veteran Amarillo Slim, one of the newest faces on the circuit Jason Mercier.
Despite the big names playing on the event, when the play resumed on day 3, Eise had a chance of claiming his first ever WSOP title, as well as Joe Simmons, Jason Potter an Rico Ramirez, who where sitting with good amount of chips. Simmons would go out early, but Potter and Ramirez would advance to fourth and third places respectively.
When the heads-up arrived, Eise was facing Jeff Chang with a well deserved 9-to-2 chip lead, and despite play would swing back the tournament ended whe Chang made an awesome call for his tournament life with just an ace-high, but the turn brang a seven that would made a pair of sevens for Mike Eise; outdrawing Chang to claim the bracalet. Despite the luck Eise had on that hand, he played a solid game to capture the coveted bracelet and a well deserved $639,330 first prize.
Congratulations to Mike Eise for his new WSOP title and all people who cashed in Event #28 – $1,500 No Limit Hold’em.
