PokerNews has launched his very own magazine specifically targeted at the poker community located in Australasia and Asian-Pacific and will be distributed in major Australian casinos and poker clubs. Some of the Australia’s most known players will contribute with the magazine.

PokerNews Australasia will be published two tims a montgh and will contain the latest poke news, mostly Australian related, but without forgetting the rest of the world, together with the latest and best stories coming from online poker, player successes and interviews and poker strategy.

The first edition, which hit the kiosks on Monday April 20th, features in depth interviews with Aussie Millions winner Stewart Scott and with Celina Lin, an important femme fatale in the Australian poker community. Also, it will contain some previews of the World Series of Poker 2009, Melbourne Championships, ANZPT Sydney and comments on the lastest results, more specifically the ANZPT Adelaide and the Joe Hachem Deep Stack series.

PokerNews Australasia Editor-in-Chief Kirsty Mullins said: “We are very excited to expand the PokerNews magazine family into the Asia-Pacific region. With the Australian and Asia-Pacific poker landscape expanding more than ever, PokerNews Australasia magazine is looking to reflect these exciting developments.”

It seems very possible that the first articles will be feature some institutions as David Saab, James “Andy McLEOD” Obst, and Jonathan “xMONSTERxDONGx” Karamalikis, who will be looking to pass on some of the knowledge that has helped to make them champion players on the felt.

The brand new mag is available now in Australia and the distribution is prepared to expand into New Zealand and Asian markets in the coming months.
