The Russian Poker Tour arrives to Moscow
Is well known that PokerStars is sponsoring some of the biggest poker tournaments all over the the world. Of course we are talking about the European Poker Tour, but also about LAPT, APPT and the recently created ANZPT. Now, there is another great tour going on: The Russian Poker Tour.
The RPT St. Petersburg was quite a success, but it seems that the 7.000 $ buy-in event celebrated this weekend in Moscow will be even better. A total of 206 joined the event and took their seats on Day 1 yesterday, breaking all the expectations. The organizers took the decision to extend the tournament one day more to ensure the quality of the structure. Well done!
At the very top of the chipcounts we find Sergey “gipsy” Rybachenko who conveverted his initial 15.000 chips to 76.000 by the end of the first day. Ivan Demidov, WSOP 2008 runner-up, still in hunt with a good amount of chips. Of the 206 starters, 122 made it through the day.
